Best Multitool for Survivalists: Leatherman Charge Tti

I finally got around to make a review explaining why I believe that the Leatherman Charge/Wave series, especially the Charge Tti, is the best multitool there is for the needs of the Modern Survivalist. Enjoy!

I believe the Wave, is even better than the Charge for a simple reason. If you do something reaaallyyy stupid and break it,you can take it back to a big box retailer and exchange it often with out even a receipt. Ask me how I know!

Not to mention that the Wave is very often found at pawn shops (used mind you) for $20 or less. I have 4 of them for this reason.

But I did enjoy the Charge review and the seat belt blade does look very handy for a rescue worker knife, where you need the appropriate tool NOW!

The Wave and Surge are damn nice toolage.

Owned a Leatherman Wave for years and simply love it. Sadly, I don't carry it much anymore... guess I'll have to change that. Thanks.

One misconception is that a multitool covers all bases in a survival situation. A multitool simply doesn't have the robustness required for some survival tasks, so IMO a good multitool should always be supplemented with a good fixed blade knife. This is more true the more remote your location.

I agree Multitool Reviews, I would never think to carry just a multitool in the wild and always carry a FBK with me, whether that be one of my Mora's or even one of my Gerbers. I found this Leatherman Wave the other week, not ordered it myself but seems an ok offer. http://www.aboveandbeyond.co.uk/Leatherman/list/f4

@multitools reviews - I completely agree - In the field, you really need a strong knife and a variety of other tools, a multitools are best for everyday, around the house type use, not survival use.
